Northern Health is proud to affiliate with The Women’s Hospital, to provide the community within the Northern suburbs, world-class Public Fertility Care. Patients are able to access comprehensive fertility treatment including genetic counselling, fertility preservation, fertility assessment, and treatment.
This subsidised service is available to individuals and couples of all backgrounds / genders (inclusive of but not limited too):
- Those who have been trying to conceive naturally but have been unsuccessful
- Individuals/Couples seeking donor sperm
- Individuals/Couples seeking donor egg
- LGBTIQA+ singles and couples
- Transgender people wishing to preserve their sperm/eggs before gender affirming treatment
- Those whose situation or health may prevent/ impair fertility or safe conception
- We do not currently offer a surrogacy program (potentially on offer from 2026)

- Use the Reproductive Services Referral Form (Word, 390 KB)
- Include tests and investigations.
- Fax to the Women’s at (03) 8345 3036.
- Referral will be valid for 12 months.
