Cancer Clinical Trials Unit

Northern Health’s Comprehensive Cancer Care services work together with our community to provide cancer care. We treat many types of cancers. We provide patient centered holistic, culturally appropriate care. We understand that cultural and genetic differences may lead to different outcomes therefore through the Cancer Clinical Trials Unit we support searching for improvements for our multi-cultural and gender diverse community.

As you go through your cancer treatments, your treating doctor may discuss with you the opportunity to participate in a clinical trial. Trial participation may benefit you or may lead to improvements for future patients. Trial participation is voluntary.

At Northern Health we are aware that past clinical trails did not take cultural diversity into account. We recognise that our community is culturally diverse. Cultural diversity may lead to different survival outcomes. We want the very best outcomes for our patients therefore we are actively involved in cancer clinical trials.
