The Urgent Care Centre provide 24/7 Urgent medical Care staffed by experienced Registered Nurses. The Urgent Care Centre has Medical Coverage with a Doctor onsite 7 days per week between the hours of 10am and 10pm. When a Doctor is not available our experienced Registered Nurses will care for patients and may utilise the Victorian Virtual Emergency VVED telehealth platform.
Upon presenting to the Urgent Care Centre patients will be Triaged according to their severity of symptoms utilising the Australasian Triage Scale (ATS).
Following Triage, patients will be assessed and treated in accordance of their needs and acuity.
Patients may receive definitive care in the Urgent Care Centre within the scope of the staff.
Many of our Urgent Care Centre Registered Nurses have increased scope of practice and are able to provide services such as Suturing, and Plastering.
There is onsite radiology/imaging service and pathology to support treatment needs (limited to business hours of operation).
If required, patients may be transferred to Epping Campus or another Hospital if further specialist treatment is required.
What to expect from the service?
The Urgent Care Centre treats patients with a range of medical conditions and is supported by Medical Officers seven days a week, with medical telehealth services available via the Victorian Virtual Emergency Department (VVED).
