Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession that works with people to improve their ability to move and function.
Physiotherapy offers individual and group patient therapy. If required, physiotherapists may provide home-based therapy. Physiotherapists work closely with other Allied Health professionals and General Practitioners to best improve a patient’s health.

Physiotherapists can offer a range of interventions, services and advice to improve a person’s health, function and wellbeing. The physiotherapist will usually conduct a one-on-one assessment to determine your individual treatment goals and advise how best to achieve these.
- Initial assessments to identify your physical treatment goals
- Personalised plans that may involve exercise, education, individualised or group therapy and the use of equipment or mobility aids
- Education and support for patients and their families to promote physical function and improve quality of life
- Collaboration with other health professionals to ensure holistic care.
